CONOR Stroud takes a look at Saturday's FA Trophy opponents, Corby Town...
As we take a break from league action, Tamworth head to Steel Park for the first time since a very rainy night in December 2012, where we beat Corby Town 4-2, in an FA Trophy second round replay.
The Steelemen are currently struggling after promotion last season, sat in 19th place in the Vanarama National League North.
They are currently managed by former fan favourite here, Tommy Wright. After leaving Tamworth, he took the Corby managers job on a joint, and then sole basis. He will no doubt be looking to impress his former employers on Saturday, and may make a playing appearance at some point in the afternoon.
Last time out:
The last game against Corby Town in Tamworth was a 1-1 draw in the aforementioned FA Trophy clash, and it was Tommy Wright that scored for The Lambs, only to be pegged back in the last minute.
The replay, of course, was won 4-2 by Tamworth, and again Wright would score in the replay, along with two goals from now Oxford United midfielder George Baldock.
One of the more notable faces in the Steelmen ranks is Duane Courtney.
Captain for a season (including against Everton), Duane played almost 100 times for Tamworth over three seasons, and should feature at the weekend.
Defender Chris Carruthers is another recognisable name, having played against The Lambs for Gateshead and Hereford United.
