CONOR Stroud takes a look at our opponents on Saturday, Lowestoft Town...
After getting back on track with a good point against unbeaten Solihull Moors, The Lambs now face a long journey to Suffolk with a trip to the seaside to face struggling Lowestoft Town.
The home side are currently sat in 19th position, off the back of three consecutive defeats, but haven’t been without goals. The Trawler Boys have racked up 16 goals this season, with half of these coming from striker Jake Reed who’s been pivotal thus far.
In Recent years:
Our last trip to Crown Meadow was last November in a pulsating 3-2 defeat, with the goals that day coming from Brendan Daniels and Michael Townsend. However, The Lambs did win both of the home games against Lowestoft last season, with 1-0 and 2-0 wins in the league and F.A Cup respectively. Player-Manager Andy Morrell was the first goalscorer in the F.A Cup clash, scoring after just 24 seconds.
Ones to watch:
As well as the obvious goalscoring exploits of Jake Reed, another recognisable name in the Lowestoft side is Danny Crow. After playing in the Vanarama National League for now promoted Luton Town, Newport County and Cambridge United, he has dropped down a division, but will remain a key threat no doubt throughout the afternoon.
