Keeping up the pressure

Gary Mills' Lambs sit one point behind Gateshead with two games in hand after the 1-0 win at Gainsbrough last night - you can read all about the frantic action by clicking the link to the right.

And the Lambs reserves, featuring five first team squad members, kept the pressure on at the top of the MIdland Comb reserve league table with goals from Stuart Nicholson, Mark Rawle and Grant Roscorla in a 3-0 win over Atherstone on Wednesday night.

The reserve side lined up as follows:

Woakes, Burgess, Murphy, Boothe, Redfern, Birley, Lea, Wilkins, Nicholson, Rawle, Roscorla
Subs: Dainty, Sturridge, Fulford, Thomas, Brown.

Nicholson fired home just before the break finishing a good move out of midfield with a shot from the left of area and Mark Rawle and Grant Roscola added goals a minmute either side of the hour mark to complete the win over The Adders.

Next game for the first team is a short trip to Solihull Moors on Saturday (Feb 28) but if you can't make it then why not pop down to The Lamb where there reserves are in league action again when they welcome Barwell. Both games kick off at 3pm.
