Tamworth FC has been handed a massive triple sponsorship boost as three of the town’s leading lights gave their backing to the Lambs this week. In a unique sponsorship move, Bradley Scott Windows, Solus Coaches and J Clarke Transport have all agreed to become main club sponsors for the next three years.
The companies will alternate sponsorship of the front and back of the club’s home shirt and shorts for the next three seasons. Chairman Bob Andrews said the deal was fantastic news for the Lambs as they prepare for life in the Conference North. “We are absolutely over the moon with this deal and thrilled to have the support of these three Tamworth companies,†said Mr Andrews. “The three involved are all run by local people and we are talking about people who are passionate about the football club. “We have been in a difficult situation with the relegation and we needed a boost. “It’s nice that the boost has come from linking up with local firms and the fact that it is a three-year commitment makes it even more special. “It’s important for us, as a football club, to have the support of the local community and we are very grateful to all three businesses for their support.†The companies are run by the three Andys – Rowe, Farrington and Garratt – who say the deal is great for all parties. “I think it’s massive,†said Andy Farrington, from Bradley Scott Windows. “We want to send out a message to people in the local community really that we want to help the club progress. “The fact we have all committed to the next three years shows that we are in it for the long haul. We want to get behind the football club.†Andy Garratt, from Solus coaches, added: “It’s about supporting the community and our local club. “We all have customers who come and watch Tamworth FC play week in and week out so this gives something back. “The more local companies who get involved at the club, the better, as far as I am concerned. “It’s important as a club, Tamworth look to the future nowâ€. And Andy Rowe, of J Clarke Transport Ltd, added: “I’ve been following Tamworth for 20 years or so now and felt that the club needed some support. “I think with the three of us getting involved with the club as main sponsors it will hopefully help to turn some of the negatives of the last season back into positives and we can look forward.â€
