It's Non League Day on Saturday

Friday Oct 11, 2019

Tamworth travel to play Biggleswade Town on Saturday, which also happens to be this year’s Non League Day fixture.

Town are making it a special day to celebrate the occasion with a special fundraiser for The Garden House Hospice Care.

There will be a cake sale, penalty shoot out at half time and lots more to help this important cause.

The Waders currently sit 3 places and 2 points behind the Lambs in 7th with 17 points from 10 games. They have won 5, drawn 2 and lost 3. In their latest league game played last Saturday they ran out 3 - 1 winners against Redditch Utd at home (Att 150)

Last season the club finished 7th in the league, just missing out on a play off place. In the two games between our clubs Biggleswade had the upper hand with a 1 - 1 draw at the Lamb (Att 563) and in the return game they ran out 3 - 0 winners in what proved to be Dennis Green’s final game in charge on 19 January (Att 160). The Tamworth line up that day was: Simpson, Green, Gough, Beswick (c.), Magunda, Maphosa (Shaw 88), Concannon, Verma (Holsgrove 11), Smith, Taylor, Dias (Clement ).

The Lambs are currently in third place and are just one point off the top spot. A win on Saturday could see Tamworth go top of the league, so we hoping for a good sized travelling support to cheer on the lads.
