Nick Wright

England C striker Nick Wright has left the Lambs today and has signed on the dotted line for Kiddermister Harriers. He will be joining up with Tom Shaw and Michael Briscoe who have also made the switch to Aggborough. The deal went through earlier today so that Nick could meet his new team mates at training. Two more big warm up games planned

After the visit of Aberdeen, Tamworth face two more league sides at The Lamb this week, first Chesterfield visit with a 7.45pm kick off on Tuesday night (27 July) and next Saturday (31 July) Rotherham United make the trip for a 3pm kick off. Both friendlies will be Class C games.

On the playing front boss Gary Mills was impressed with his sides performance against The Dons but appears to have no option but to find another goal keeper for Tuesday night as David Grof looks set to sign for Notts County on Monday.

SEASON TICKETS NOW AVAILABLE

We are pleased to announce that the 2010/11 season season tickets have now been delivered and will be ready for collection from the club shop prior to the Aberdeen game. If supporters are unable to attend the game they will be available from the club office during the week or from the shop prior to the Chesterfield and Rotherham games.Thank you all for your patience with regard to this matter.

Any one still requiring a season ticket they can still be purchased from the club and remember the friedlies are included.

season ticket update

Apologies for the delay in the distribution of the season tickets but unfortunately the earliest promise which we have been given this afternoon is that they will be delivered sometime on Friday. If they are delivered this will leave very little time to get them ready but we will move heaven and earth to have them ready for collection on Saturday prior to the Aberdeen game. The printer has requested that we make a further check with them on Thursday.

Season Ticket holders are requested to bring proof of id when collecting the season ticket.

Lambs face Pitmen on Tuesday

The Lambs travelled to Rugby Town on Saturday for the second pre season friendly fixture of the season and returned with a 4-2 victory, with Neil MacKenzie netting a deserved hat-trick.
Aston Villa's Swiss keeper Benjamin Siegrist played his last game of his two match loan and the squad was one less from the side at Leamington as trialist Shilo Thomas had been released.

Lambs cancel Haleseowen friendly

Due to the uncertaintity of whether Halesowen Town would be allowed to play on Tuesday evening due to The FA suspending the Zamorreto League clubs fixtures until they are in receipt of some extra paperwork as the club come out of receivership It has been decided by Gary Mills that it would be in the clubs interests to arrange a friendly elsewhere. It would have been of no benefit to players and supporters to wait until Tuesday to learn the game was off.

Details of a new fixture will advised as soon as one has been decided upon by Gary. Anumber of options are under consideration.

Premier League commits 6m of financial support

Premier League commits £6m of financial support to the Football Conference. Including a New Football Conference club development fund to be launched.

The Premier League today announced a solidarity package with The Football Conference worth £6m over the next three seasons.

Following the £1m payment made to the Football Conference in 2009/10 the Premier League has decided to provide funding for seasons 2010/11, 2011/12 and 2012/13 that will support all Football Conference clubs.The funding will be split into general payments made to all 68...Read More

Home Shirts now in stock

The club has now received delivery of the 2010/11 season home shirts and advance orders are now ready awaiting collection. Shirts will be available on Thursday evening at the clubhouse where the meet the manager night will also be taking place (see seperate story for info). Pre-season kicks off with five goals

The Lambs started their pre season campaign away at Zamoretto League side Leamington on Tuesday evening and came away with a 3-2 win with all of the current squad and trialists gaining some match action.

Swiss Rolls into the Lamb

Aston Villa have allowed 18year old goalkeeper Benjamin Siegrist to join up with The Lambs and play in two friendly fixtures. Benjamin is from Switzerland and has signed a pro contract after progressing through the clubs Academy side. This season Benjamin has been included in Villa's Reserve team squad.

Switzerland recently won the FIFA u-17 world Cup where Benjamin received the Golden Glove award. At 6' 4" he will certainly stand out in goal for the Lambs. We hope he enjoys his stay at the club.

Meet The Manager & New Home Shirt

Tamworth Football Club fans will be able to put their questions to manager Gary Mills at a special 'Meet The Manager Evening' on Thursday, July 15th  (7pm). Lambs fans will be able to get all the latest about the forthcoming season on the night. Darron Gee - Assistant Manager will also be on there on the night to answer any of your questions. LAMBS BACK IN TRAINING

The Lambs trained at Whittington today for the first time after the summer lay off. All of the players signed were in attendance along with Alex Rodman who is still to sign and Des Lyttle.Des will again be signing for the club on a non contract form. Gary Mills invited a number of triallists to attend so in total there was 25 players who were put through there paces during the morning and afternoon sessions.

Michael Wylde called into The Lamb after training and finally put pen to a new contract for the new season.

Perry Signs for The Lambs

Kyle Perry has signed for the Lambs after Gary Mills  negotiated his transfer from Mansfield Town where he was in the middle of a two year deal.
