First league fixture at The Lamb!

After a below par opening day away at St Ives on Saturday, we'll be looking to get the season up and running on Tuesday night, as we prepare to welcome Alvechurch to The Lamb. The Church have had consecutive promotions in 2016/17 and 2017/18, and opened up on Saturday with a 0-0 home draw against Royston Town. Ex Lamb Ash Carter was Alvechurch captain last season, however he opted to join Nuneaton Borough in the summer.

There could be some alterations to The Lambs XI that took the field on Saturday. Aman Verma had no adverse effects coming off the bench, so is in contention to start. Akwasi Asante will be assessed after limping out of the game in the first half. The game will come too soon for Ryan Beswick, with Rhys Sharpe, Tristan Dunkley, and Chris Lait all closer to returning than the midfield man. Regan Upton will serve the final game of a three match suspension, and will therefore be available for selection on Saturday.

A reminder than Lambs fans can take advantage of reduced ticket prices for the first time tomorrow evening. For those who have purchased season tickets, these can be collected from The Sponsors Lounge between 6pm-8pm on Monday evening, or from reception prior to kick off on Tuesday.
