Tim leaves Lambs for new role!

Tamworth Football Club confirmed on Tuesday evening that Director of Football Tim Harris had left the club, in order to become Head of Football at Hereford FC.

Upon the news breaking, Harris told Matt Panter of the Tamworth Herald “I felt from the outset Tamworth was a really good club and I have enjoyed my time there. I felt I couldn’t really apply for the managerial job from a geographical point of view. I was there helping Mike (Fowler) out but he lived in Tamworth which made it easier. I don’t feel I could give the manager’s role the commitment it deserves. I leave with sadness because there are some very good people there. I love the passion of the Tamworth fans and, as I say, it’s a great club. They have got good players and can push on.”

At present, there are no plans for the club to recruit a new Director of Football, with the duties associated with that role to be shared between First Team Manager Dennis Greene and Chief Operating Officer George Delves.
