Green Looks Ahead

Tuesday Jun 26, 2018

 Kristian speaks to The Herald!

With pre season just a matter of days away, new signing Kristian Green caught up with Matt Panter of The Tamworth Herald to look ahead to next season. Green is hoping that it will be wins all the way next season but he’s taking nothing for granted.

“I am really excited to be at Tamworth,” he said. “It’s a new challenge for me. Tamworth are a professionally run club with good ambitions and I feel we are the right fit for each other. We all want to win games and, ultimately, win the league."

The squad will report to The Lamb on Saturday June 30th, with Green adding “I’m looking forward to seeing what we can do in pre-season. I feel like we are building a strong team on and off the field and that togetherness will be important. I have played at this level with Stourbridge and it won’t be easy. It will be very competitive because there are a lot of local derbies but, as I say, I’m excited to get started.”

Green will be following in the footsteps of popular right back Andy Burns next season. But he has promised the same non-stop commitment as his predecessor. “I am full of energy,” he said. “I will still be running in the last ten minutes of a game, still pushing and pressing. I’d say I am quick and strong and good in the air. I’d back myself defensively against anyone in the league. I am looking forward to showing the supporters what I can do.”
