PAUL Green has expressed his delight at agreeing a new deal here at The Lamb...

The reliable right-back revealed that the opportunity to continue working under Andy Morrell and Mike Fowler was an important factor in his decision to remain at the club.

“I’m pleased to have come to this agreement,” said the Birmingham-born 28 year-old. “I really believe in what the Gaffer and Mike are trying to achieve here; they work so well together and have been brilliant for the club.

“There is a lot of positivity around the place and I am looking forward to what the new season holds in store for us.

“It’s going to be a competitive League, with a lot of big clubs involved, but we are building something here and it’s great to be part of that.

“We had an impressive second half of last season and hopefully we can go one step further this time around. There is no reason why we can’t.

“From a personal point of view, I want to play as many games as I can and maintain a consistent level of performance. I had an injury last year which halted my progress somewhat, but I’d like to think that I can stay injury-free and play my part in helping to push the team on.”

Green’s new deal was made possible with a contribution from Teambuilder, for which we are extremely grateful.
