Gloucester City Next Up

Monday Jan 30, 2017

Trip to Whaddon Road on Tuesday!

Following a return to winning ways on Saturday against Boston United, the Lambs now begin preparing for four away trips out of the next five games, with Gloucester City first up on Tuesday evening, 7.45pm kick off.

The Tigers, who are currently tenants at Cheltenham Town's Whaddon Road, also picked up maximum points over the weekend, with an impressive 3-0 victory over local rivals Worcester City.

Reflecting on the Boston United game, Manager Andy Morrell said "We went back to basics a bit, and I was pleased with the level of graft and endeavor." He continued "It's tough changing systems mid-season, and we've still got loads to work on, particularly in possession. But overall it was about getting around the pitch, being solid, and battling today, which I thought we did well."

The last trip to Whaddon Road was successful, with Ellis Deeney netting a late penalty to secure three points, while our home fixture this season also resulted in a victory, with Danny Newton and Jed Davies getting the goals.
