Gary Mills delighted with win at Hucknall

Saturday Mar 21, 2009

"These are exciting times", said the Lambs boss after his side had come back from a goal down, twice, to beat Hucknall away from home 3-2 on Saturday, "and a few finger nails will no doubt be being bitten as the end of the season draws closer."
"We defended well, apart from for the set piece they scored from and it was disappointing to give away the penalty, but a the end of it all our chracter showed through and if any team is going to win anything its all about getting the points on the board in whatever way they can - and we did that today."

"On a concrete hard, bobbly pitch we showed our team spirit and hard work rate once again and will have to do it all again another nine times starting at Burscough on Tuesday night.
"I was very pleased with Michael Blackwood's contribution today he is a great player, with good balance, good all round skill and with Alex Rodman out injured I made the call to Mansfield not expecting to be able to sign Michael but am delighted that he has as we'd been tracking his progress for a while now. He will bring some extra quality and expreience to the team in the run in especially on the left wing."

If you would like to travel on the official coach to Burscough on Tuesday night (kick off 7.45pm) it departs The Lamb at 4pm and costs £10 per person.
Please contact the club during normal office hours on Monday or Tuesday to book your seat.
