Fowler On Darlington

Thursday Mar 1, 2018

 Mike looks ahead to weekend!

Mike Fowler took some time out this week to catch up with Matt Panter of the Tamworth Herald.

“People said that results did not go our way last weekend but the fact was that we didn’t play,” Mike said, reflecting on last weekends postponement. “For me, had we played our game at Salford, I have no doubt that we would have got something out of it. We had had a good training game on the Tuesday where we had created chances and scored goals. We had played with a real tenacity and tempo. The lads were all desperate to play."

Fowler continued “We were unlucky with the weather but we have trained equally well this week and the lads played another game this week, behind closed doors, against a step three team and won the match 8-1. The lads were incredibly vibrant, they were relentless and there were some fantastic goals flying in. So the group are full of confidence right now as they prepare for Darlington."

Despite weather worsening nationwide, the game is not in doubt at the time of writing (Thursday afternoon). However, please keep an eye on all club social media for regular updates.
