THE LAMBS’ assistant manager, Mike Fowler, can’t wait to get stuck into Saturday’s visit of League leaders, Solihull Moors...
“I am looking forward to it,” he said with a smile. “They obviously have a strong squad and have recruited players from the League above.
"But we picked up six points against them last year, when they were above us in the table, so hopefully we can go out and perform again."
Having lost our last two games and then had to sit it out last weekend, Fowler is hoping that the players can hit the ground running when we return to action and put the disappointments of recent weeks behind us.
"The group that we have here, they do take things to heart," he admitted. "The last couple of weeks were strange around the club because of the two defeats.
"The thing is that, within the group, we have tried to create a winning environment, which is a good thing.
"But when we lost in dramatic fashion in the FA Cup, I think it hit everyone for six a bit.
"Then we had the defeat to Curzon, which ended up being a bit of a turning point for them as they went on to win their next game.
"From our point of view, it can be difficult to break the tension in training even though we have the banter flowing.
"So Saturday was a good opportunity for the lads to enjoy each other's company and hopefully it sets us up nicely for the weekend."
