Four Sign on for New Season

Saturday Sep 19, 2020

Tamworth have made a quadruple swoop in time for kick off of the new Pitching In Southern League Premier Central season, and some of players are no strangers to the Lambs. It’s a big welcome to Kyron Stabana, Jaanai Gordon, Gerry McDonagh and Jordan Graham.

Kyron Stabana has featured in most of our pre-season friendlies at full back, and after impressing the management team he has put pen to paper. The former Derby County, AFC Wimbledon and England U17 full back has previously enjoyed two loan spells at the Lamb. The 22 yrs old defender experienced a successful spell at Cork City last season before being released by Wimbledon and we are delighted to have him back in the red shirt.

24 yrs old Janaai Gordon enjoyed a short spell for the Lambs at the end of the 2018-19 season as he looked to regain fitness following a long spell out of the game due to injury. He started his career at Peterborough United before moving on to West Ham United for 3 seasons where he had a variety of loan spells at Chelmsford City, Sligo Rovers and Newport County. After departing the Hammers he signed for EFL side Cheltenham Town, but his time at the Gloucestershire outfit cut short due to a long term injury At the start of last  season Jaanai joined fellow Southern League outfit Banbury United and enjoyed an impressive spell of form scoring 12 goals in 16 games which earned him a move to National League South side Oxford City. Welcome back to the Lamb Jaanai!

22 yrs old striker Gerry McDonagh signs on for the Lambs having originally joined the club at the end of February, just  before the season was terminated. Gerry previously played for Nottingham Forest, Barnsley and Aldershot Town. He has also represented the Republic of Ireland at U17 level. Welcome to the Lamb Gerry!

Finally it is a welcome to Jordan Graham  who joins from Mansfield Town. 22 yrs old Jordan was promoted to the Stags' first team in 2018/19 after impressing Mansfield's first team and academy coaches. The forward made his League debut in the first game of the 2018/19 season, appearing as a substitute in Stags' 3-0 win over Newport County. A recurring knee injury sidelined the striker for almost eight months, but he made his return to reserve team football in 2019/20. Welcome Jordan!
