Fortune Speaks

 Latest from Maphosa!

Lambs Academy graduate Fortune Maphosa caught up with Matt Panter of The Tamworth Herald this week, and started by reiterating his commitment to the club until the end of the season.

Maphosa said: “I am delighted to have signed a deal until the end of the season. Since last year when I came to the club I just wanted to get my head down and get into the first team. I have managed to start the last seven or eight games which shows the manager (Dennis Greene) has got faith in me. So I am delighted to have done enough to earn a deal until the summer.”

Maphosa now wants to see the Lambs climb the league table and believes they can upset title-chasing Kettering on Saturday. “We know we have to start winning games more consistently,” he said. “The draw with Barwell on Saturday was so frustrating because we should have had that game won by half-time. But we are unbeaten in three and there is no reason why we can’t go to Kettering and get a positive result. If anything, the tougher games seem to suit us. Our kryptonite seems to be when we come up against struggling sides.”
