Former star passes away

Billy Gallier a player who played in many positions for the Lambs and nowadays would be classed as a utility player passed away on Sunday 6th February. Billy was in his late 70's and was still living in the same house in Chase Terrace as when he was playing for the Lambs.

After leaving Walsall FC who were then playing in the old Third Division he joined the Lambs in 1956 and made 39 appearnces scoring 9 goals. The following season he scored 6 goal in 36 appearances and in the 58/59 season Bill played 34 games scoring 3 goals.The 59/60 season a Gallier was still in the Lambs line up but this was BIll's son paul as Bill had moved onto Hednesford Town . After a spell with the Pitmen he went onto manage Armitage FC.
