FAMILIAR FACES

Friday Oct 30, 2015

ELLIOTT Durrell will be looking to fire The Lambs to victory on Saturday against a club that still remains close to his heart...

The 26 year-old spent just over five years with Hednesford Town, where he was a popular figure.

“I had some good times at the club,” he admitted. “This will be the first time that I have come up against them in a competitive game so it will be a bit strange.

“These things happen all the time in football, though, and once I cross that white line on Saturday, I will be doing all I can to ensure that its Tamworth who get the points.

“It will be nice to see some familiar faces. I’m really looking forward to it.

“After last Saturday’s win, we want to get on a good run of results now and really push ourselves into that leading pack.

“If we can build some momentum, we could find ourselves in a very good position come Christmas time.

“There’s no-one really running away with this League; it’s quite open and with the squad we have here, we can feel quietly confident.

“But we can’t look too far ahead. We can only look as far as the next game.”
