Easter Saturday Leiston Preview

Wednesday Apr 17, 2019

Leiston make the 175 mile trip along the A14 to The CR MOT Centre Community Stadium this Easter weekend on the back of a 0-0 home draw against Banbury last Saturday.

They are on a poor run of form, not winning a game in their last eight matches and losing five of them. Their last victory was a 2-1 away win at Biggleswade on 5th March. In their last 5 away matches, Leiston have managed 4 points from a possible 12 with one victory, one draw and three defeats.

Our visitors have gained 22 points from their 19 away matches this season, scoring 26 and conceding 32 goals. They currently sit 15th in the league, 3 places below and 4 points behind The Lambs. Despite only being 5 places above the relegation zone, Leiston have already mathematically secured safety and should be able to play out the season without great pressure and with freedom.

Tamworth also will be able to play with freedom and the players will want to impress the management team with contracts up for grabs next season. The Lambs have won 6 of their last 10 matches and at home have notched 12 points from a possible 15 in their last 5 matches with 4 victories, despite a loss last time out at the CR MOT Centre Community Stadium.

There were goals in the reverse fixture back in August when the teams shared the points in an entertaining 2-2 draw.

With all this in mind, Tamworth are even money favourites to take all the points on Saturday, with the draw 13/5 and Leiston 2/1. Betting bonus, guides & promo codes will help with online betting guides and selecting a bookmaker.

This should be a close game with goals and Tamworth will hope the home advantage and better recent form will result in the victory and three points which should elevate the team into the top half of the league.
