THE LAMBS have swooped to further strengthen our squad with the capture of Elliott Durrell...

The 25 year-old made his name at Hednesford Town, where he was a regular on the scoresheet before landing a move to Wrexham at the turn of 2014.

He was released by the Welsh outfit at the end of last term and had no hesitation in linking up once more with former boss, Andy Morrell, who took him to The Racecourse Ground.

“I’m really pleased to have signed for Tamworth,” he said. “As soon as I knew the club were interested in me, I was keen to come here and link up with Andy Morrell again.

“I can really relate to him and the chance to work together again was very appealing.

“This is a big club in the wrong League and my aim is to help them get back to where they belong.

“There are some strong teams in the League, but I am up for the challenge. I’ve scored goals at this level before and with the squad that is being assembled here, I hope that I can do it again.

“I’ve heard some good things about the club and the direction in which it is going, and knowing the Gaffer as I do, he will set some high standards, and that can only be a good thing.

“There will be a strong work ethic here and as long as I can play my part in a winning team, that is all I want.”
