Cleen sheet guides Lambs to victory!

Manager Andy Morrell caught up with Matt Panter of the Tamworth Herald recently to discuss the game on Saturday at Darlington, andpraised goalkeeper Shaun Rowley and his defence as a valuable clean sheet was secured on the road, which was the foundation of the impressive 1-0 victory.

“The lads really dug in and defended really well,” said Morrell. “We headed the ball out of the box which is something we have not done well enough in the last month or so. We then took our chance when it came. Shaun has then pulled off a good save and they have missed one too.”

On Rowley, Morrell said “The way he reacted to being dropped has been top drawer. Maybe it was good for him to go out of the team for a couple of games and refocus. He worked on aspects of his game and came back in and has done well. There are still some things he can improve on but that will come with age.”
