Darlington Away Next Challenge

Tuesday Apr 4, 2017

First ever trip to Blackwell Meadows!

Following the late win against Harrogate Town on Saturday, the squad are preparing to travel to the north east this weekend, with fellow playoff chasers Darlington providing the opposition.

The Quakers have coped well with life in National League North this season, after being promoted from the Northern Premier League at the end of the 2015/16 season. They currently find themselves in sixth place, while we are two places further back in eighth. There is however a five point gap between the sides at present, so Morrell's men know that only a win will do in order to keep slim playoff hopes alive.

Despite going down 4-1 to league leaders AFC Fylde last time out, Darlington have won both of their previous home fixtures 1-0, against Brackley Town and Bradford Park Avenue respectively. They were also 1-0 to the good at half time when they visited The Lamb back in November before a second half double from Danny Newton secured maximum points for us.

For those wishing to make use of club transport, the Supporters Club coach will depart from The Lamb at 9.00am on Saturday morning. TFCSC adult members will be charged £20, while U16 members will be £10. Non members in either category will be £5 more. To book, please contact 07971 001078.
