Dan Creaney signs for an undisclosed fee from Coaville Town

TFC are delighted to announce the signing of highly rated striker Dan Creaney from Coalville Town for an undisclosed fee.

Dan arrives at the Lamb following his goalscoring exploits at Bedworth Utd and Coalville Town where he was leading scorer for both clubs. He scored 32 goals for the Ravens in 48 appearances before a stop start beginning to last season caused by injury saw him head out on loan to Stratford Town, where he regained his form under the management of the Lambs new Head of Senior Football, Thomas Baillie.

Creaney, who is 24 years old, started his career at Atherstone Town where he quickly caught the eye of Bedworth United, and went on to score 20 goals in his two seasons with the Greenbacks. Creaney then signed for Coalville in March 2017 where his ability to find the net continued.

Speaking to the Official Tamworth FC Website Thomas Bailie said “When the management team of Gary, Andrew and myself sat down to create our target list of players for the new season Dan was a big target for us. We have worked hard to get him and we are delighted he has signed.”

“I had Dan at Stratford Town last season and we are really excited about what he will bring to the club. He is strong, holds the ball up well and knows how to score goals in this league. Despite a stop start campaign last year he still managed to bag 16 - 18 goals. Dan offers something different to what we already have and the competition for strikers next season is going to be excellent!”
