Dale appointed Manager for next season

Thursday May 8, 2014

Dale Belford will lead the Lambs into the 2014-15 season. Tamworth endured a disappointing campaign last time out resulting in relegation to the Conference North. But the board have kept faith in Belford and chairman Bob Andrews said: "For me, I just feel that if you change direction every season, it can become a farce "You see it at all levels of football where teams change a manager and it doesn't always work. "I want some stability and think Dale can bring that to us. "He's a local person who understands non-league football and he needs to be given a chance. "He's passionate about Tamworth Football Club and has the club at heart and that's important for us right now." Details of the rest of the back room staff will be announced as and when appointments are made. Last seasons Assistant Manager Scott Lindsey has left the club and has returned back to his home in Gillingham where he is considering a number of offer. Sports Therapist Katie Andrews has also left the club due to having an operation and being unable to commit to the job for at least six months. We wish Kayie and Scott all of the best in what ever job they take on next and that Katie's operation goes well
