Cup Opposition Revealed

Thursday Sep 8, 2016

 Double trip to Harriers!

We will travel to National League North and midlands rivals Kidderminster Harriers on Saturday September 17th in the FA Cup Second Qualifying Round, just four days after a league visit to Aggborough. This will be the second time in the last two seasons that we will face a team relegated from a higher division in our first FA Cup game, after being paired with Alfreton Town at this stage last season.

Commenting on the draw, Andy Morrell said "It's a tough one. It probably doesn't get much harder at this stage of the competition. Kidderminster will probably feel they could have had a kinder draw as well though. We just have to get on with it. If you want to go on a good run in the FA cup, you have to win a lot of hard games. So we will look forward to the challenge ahead. It will be strange because we play them twice in a week. That can be a bit weird because you play a game and then, at the end of it, you say, see you in four days time!"

The Birmingham Senior Cup draw has also handed us an away tie in the opening round, with a trip set Halesowen Town set to take place on the evening of October 25th.
