Joe signs on the dotted line for 2016/17!
Joe Clarke became our fourth new signing ahead of next season today, joining Greg Mills, Steph Morley, and Jack Lane.
The 27 year old midfielder will be a familiar face to some members of the Lambs squad, having played with Morley at Brackley during the second half of last season, as well as being a teammate of Ross Dyer at Hednesford, and Stephen Tomassen at Wrexham.
Indeed it was at Wrexham where Solihull native Clarke enjoyed his most successful spell, making close to 150 appearances in a four year period, and also winning the FA Trophy in 2013. He began last season at Kidderminster Harriers, appearing in all of their first 17 games of the season, before being allowed to leave due to the clubs worsening financial situation, finishing last season on loan at Brackley.
Commenting on the signing, Andy Morrell said "Joe is a player I've worked with for a few years, and seen develop first hand. As well as great experience at this level, he has ability, and a huge amount of energy to get around the pitch. We are confident that he will be a really important addition for us."
Clarke added "I have been talking to the club for a couple of weeks, and the opportunity to work with the Gaffer again proved too good to turn down. It's easy to see that the club is moving in the right direction on and off the field, and hopefully I can play a big part next season. Pre season is only a week or so away, and I can't wait to get started."
