Chorley Postmatch

Thursday Nov 2, 2017

 Valuable away point earned!

“If someone had offered me four points from those two tough away trips, I’d have taken it all day long.”

That was the message from Andy Morrell, when reflecting on two our recent York City and Chorley games with Matt Panter of the Tamworth Herald.

“I am delighted for the lads and I don't think their character can be questioned" he continued. “They have shown a real fighting spirit and a togetherness in this past week. I knew I had it within the group but it was about making sure the lads knew it. They have responded in the way I wanted them to. We finally got ahead in the second half and although we conceded a sloppy goal, I thought we defended well in the last half an hour. It was a gritty, hard working performance and we deserved at least the point, if not all three."

The two results show just how tight and competitive The Vanarama North League is. Tamworth now sit in the final play-off spot in 7th place on 24 points. The team are six points from 3rd place but also six points ahead of Gainsborough in 18th place, two places above relegation. This shows that anyone can beat anyone on any given day.

With no game this weekend, Tamworth fans can look at the other fixtures find some value bets. Betulator can help calculate accumulators and bet types.

The Lambs are back in action next Saturday 11th November at home to current table topping Salford City.
