Charity Game action on Sunday

Thursday Jul 11, 2019

Lamb's legends return to support the Royal Papworth Hospital in a game organised by Darren Grocutt.

On Sunday former Tamworth player Darren Grocutt has arranged a charity fixture in aid of the Royal Papworth Hospital and he is hoping that many people will turn up at the Lamb to support the cause.  A number of former Lambs legends are involved in the game which will be played between a Non League Team and an Over 35s ‘Galacticos’ outfit including David Foy, Mark Hallam, Gary Smith (current joint manager), Scott Rickards, Dave Haywood and Dennis Mulholland.

The charity is very close to Darren Grocutt who had a major heart scare. He was brought back to life twice in the operating theatre during open heart and lung surgery. Darren is keen to say thank you to the staff who saved him and has arranged this charity game to raise important funds for the hospital in Cambridge.

The game kicks off at 12.00 and it will be a great way to support a worthwhile charity whilst having an opportunity to see some former Lambs legends in action.
