Wolves loanee Ashley enjoying experience at The Lamb.
Ashley Carter has made a solid start to his loan spell, with 4 points out of 6, and an impressive clean sheet as part of a new look back 3 against Harrogate Town.
Carter, who's temporary move from Wolves expires on April 30th, has had the following to say on life at Tamworth so far.
"It's all new to me. It is down your throat, direct football but that is something I have to learn about. You realise that, if you take an elbow to the face or a kick in the head, you just get on with it. You have to cope with the physical demands of playing in these games. It has been a massive eye opener in the first two games. I couldn't get out of bed Sunday morning after the game with Stockport!"
"But it's been a really good experience so far. I am here to play football, get clean sheets and three points, so I want to kick on now. We were up against second in the league but I thought we took the game right to them and deserved the win. I felt we were the better side, we stuck together and it was a strong team performance really. We have got eight or nine games left now and have got to take everyone as it comes. We need to turn up to every match like we did against Harrogate. With the fans behind us I am sure we will keep pushing forward."
