Right Back: 'Lets stay positive'
Ever-present full back Andy Burns caught up with Matt Panter of the Tamworth Herald this week, to talk all things Lambs.
Reflecting on the Nuneaton games, Burns said "It's been a tough week, a frustrating one and we are gutted for the fans and ourselves. We let ourselves down on Boxing Day, although we still feel we should have got something from the game."
He continued "New Year's Day was better and we feel hard done by. The ball didn't fall kindly for us at times. So it's disappointing but we have to look at the bigger picture and the fact is, we are still in a very good position."
Looking ahead to Curzon Ashton tomorrow, along with the rest of the season, Burns insisted the playoff qualification was still a realistic target."If we take the same number of points in the New Year that we did in the first half of the season then we should be in the play-offs, unless everyone else also produces an incredible set of results" he said.
"We have three good home games coming up and if we play to our strengths, I think we have shown that we can give anyone a game. We just have to concentrate on ourselves."
As always, tickets start from as little as £12 for adults, £7 for concessions, and just £2 for juniors. We need as much support as possible to help reignite our push for the playoffs, so please spread the word!
