Right back looks ahead to weekend!
Ever present Lambs defender Andy Burns caught up with Matt Panter of the Tamworth Herald this week to discuss the trip to league leaders AFC Fylde. Burns said: "They are a good side but those results show they are not invincible. We also beat them 1-0 at the Lamb earlier in the season so we should take a lot of confidence from that."
"Fylde have found themselves in this position before and have then suffered a blip. When I was at Barrow a couple of years ago, Fylde had an eight-point lead at Christmas but we caught them up and won the league."
"It's not easy being out in front, especially with the kind of lead they have. There is a lot of pressure on them to stay there. There is a lot of expectation on them to win the league this season but hopefully we can go up there and get a positive result."
Burns admitted the Lambs were frustrated with their defeat to AFC Telford United on Saturday but he believes that, from a defensive point of view, things have improved.
"I think in the last couple of weeks we have defended quite well," he said. "We have seemed a bit more solid and just paid the price for our failure to deal with one free-kick on Saturday. We know we will be tested this weekend especially with players like Danny Rowe scoring for fun. But we kept them all out at our place and we will be looking to do exactly the same again."
