PLAYER-MANAGER, Andy Morrell, couldn't hide his disappointment as The Lambs were knocked out of the Emirates FA Cup at the second round qualifying stage in dramatic fashion at the hands of Alfreton Town...
The Lambs were two goals to the good with less than 15 minutes remaining but ended up losing 3-2.
"I am a bit speechless, to be fair," he said at the end of the game. "We don't concede goals and actually defended well for the majority of the game.
"We dealt with balls coming into our box from all different angles but then switch off in the final quarter-of-an-hour and it has cost us dear.
"I felt that we managed the game well for 75 minutes and with the chances that we created in the second half, we should have sealed it and been comfortably into the next round.
"The tie was there for the taking. We were doing everything right and causing all sorts of problems, but you have to take your opportunities or else it will come back and bite you.
"It's how we bounce back from this. When you're on an unbeaten run every team wants to be the one to beat you. We need characters who will stand up and be counted.
"We can't afford to feel sorry for ourselves and have to be at it ready for the next game."
