 LAMBS’ ‘keeper, James Belshaw, played his part in our hard-earned victory at Worcester City on Tuesday evening...

 Belshaw was in fine form during the second half to deny our hosts and help us make it two wins out of two at the start of the season.

 “We were the better side in the first half,” he said. “After the break we tried to rush things a bit too much and this allowed Worcester to get back into it.

 “We defended brilliantly in the last 20-25 minutes; it was a real team effort from front to back, with everyone playing their part.

 “The back four have put their bodies on the line and I made a couple of saves, but, as I say, it was a team effort.

 “It makes my job so much easier when you have lads putting their bodies on the line like that. You can see how much it means to the lads.

 “We now go to FC United on Manchester at the weekend and we’ll have to be similarly determined and resolute.”
