LAMBS’ goalkeeper, James Belshaw, is looking for the team to get ‘dirty’ as we seek a return to winnings ways at Curzon Ashton on Saturday...

Our hosts have just one win from their opening ten League games and having played out a draw at home to another struggling outfit in Bradford Park Avenue in our last League game, Belshaw is ready for another battle.

“In games like this, you have to be prepared to roll your sleeves up and do the dirty work,” he said. “No team is going to make it easy for us and we’ve got to battle for absolutely everything.

“There are some big clubs in this League and a lot of local derbies, but against the likes of Curzon Ashton and Bradford Park Avenue we have to be able to scrap and earn the right to win the points.

“As I say, it’s about doing the dirty work; we know that it’s not going to be pretty, but we have to match the work-rate of the opposition.

“We’re still unbeaten in the League and have proven to be hard to beat, so hopefully that will continue at the weekend and we can bounce back from our FA Cup disappointment in the right way.”
