Bank Holiday weekend arrangements

Sunday Aug 24, 2014

The Lambs returned from Aggborough having comeback from a goal down to secure point against Vanarama Conference North tenants Worcester on Saturday click 'more' to read Dale's thoughts on the point against City on Saturday afternoon.

"It was an end to end game with two good teams full of experienced players. We worked hard to get the ball into the final third of the field and forced saves from their keeper and nearly snatched it right at the death.
"At the other end you will have to go a long way to see a better Non League keeper than James Belshaw and he is doing his utmost to knock on the door of the England C squad.
"I have said it before but Leon Mettam, Kevin Thornton and Phil Trainer are all still working hard to catch up from missing their pre-season so it was great to see Kevin complete 90 minutes this afternoon and cap it with a goal.
"There is healthy competition in the squad and all the players are playing to keep their shirt each week - I am very pleased with their effort and commitment - which have been key in our opening few games and we will be looking to take maximum points against Boston on Monday and try and build up a head of steam.
