Back to the Football

Sunday Dec 14, 2014

After no game last Saturday due to our defeat against Hyde in the FA Trophy we now return back into action on Saturday 20th December when Harrogate Town will be the visitors. Our current League form of four straight wins has seen us move above our visitors and have a two point lead. A fifth win on the bounce will see us open a five point lead and certainly make further progress up the Vanarama Conference North table

The game at the Lamb will hopefully see Dave Hibbert and Kevin Thornton back in action as the injuries begin to clear up.

The players were in early Saturday at the Lamb for a new team photo with shirt sponsors Bradley Scott Windows and tracksuit sponsor Guinan Girls Logistics. The pictures were taken on a frozen pitch which if we had a home game would have given us some concern especially however the forecast for next weekend looks to be a lot warmer so hopefully no early call out  for a pitch inspection. After the pictures the squad headed up to Shuttington for a lung busting training session then in th evening the players held their Christmas party in Nottingham.

Saturdays programme against Harrogate will feature an with Leon Mettam about the frustrations of not playing, The game which is not segregated kicks off at 3.00pm and hopefully we will see a few more in the stands as the team look to stretch the run to five wins.
