Peterborough Sports v Tamworth this Saturday.

Tamworth head to third in the table Peterborough Sports on Saturday determined to get back to winning ways in the league, especially after the encouraging 6 - 2 win over a strong Solihull Moors team in the Birmingham Senior Cup on Tuesday evening.
The management team experimented against Solihull with Henri Wilder pushing into midfield and Jordan Gough taking the full back position, and it provides them with an interesting selection headache with Henri scoring a hattrick! Liam Hearn came on as a second half sub and Luke Little, Cameron Howkins, Dilano Reid and Jordan Clement all put in impressive displays to show that they are pushing for a start in the team. Despite going off injured during the first half, it looks like James Fry and Ahmed Obeng should recover in time to be available for selection against the Turbines.
The Turbines had an excellent 2018/19 season, winning the Southern League Division 1 Central section where the side won their 3rd title in 4 years. They only lost league 3 games all season which was a mark of their consistency. The side also had probably the best win in its history when beating National League North and former football league side Boston United 2-0 away in the FA Cup 2nd qualifying round. They have started the season in a similar vein and are currently in 3rd place in the league with 45 points from 25 games played, just two points behind the Lambs but having played 2 games more. They had a shock reverse at home on Tuesday evening when Hitchin Town walked away with all three points in a surprise 4 - 0 home defeat.
