First ever trip to 'Class Of 92' owned Salford City!
After a 14 day break from National League North action, The Lambs will return to the field against Salford City on Saturday, looking to bounce back from a 3-2 defeat at Gainsborough Trinity last time out. There were encouraging signs to emerge from the 2-2 draw with Birmingham City U23's last Saturday, and Morrell's men will head to the north west in confident mood.
After a blistering start after promotion The Ammies have had a tougher spell of late, with two draws and two defeats from their last four league outings.
Right back Andy Burns caught up with Matt Panter of the Tamworth Herald to discuss the game earlier in the week. Burns said: "We need to start to kick on up this league table. We have a big period coming up with some of the best teams in the league," he said.
"Salford is the start of a tricky spell and we are looking forward to it. It's a good place to go. Obviously they have a high profile with the Manchester United connection and they have a lot of fans following them. They have come up into the league and are already up in the top seven this season. But we also have big ambitions to challenge up there at the top this season and so we need to go there and get a result."
"We have had a blip in terms of results of late but every club in the league will have ups and downs. We have got to kick on now and move up towards the play-off places."
Kick off is 3.00pm, and as always, all support would be much appreciated.
