The Lambs were informed by Derby County early Friday morning that they were recalling Ross Atkins because of the current injury crisis at the club. Because of the situation that the Lambs were being left in Derby cancelled the proposed loan move of England under 19 keeper James Severn who was going to join Aldershot before the weekend so that he could sign for Tamworth.
After a quick run up the A38 the forms were signed and on return to the office were faxed off to all tye relevant Leagues and The Football Association. After a nervous couple of hours the e-mails came back confirming the registration was acceptable. James will be wearing the number one shirt as Ross Atkins registration had to be cancelled.
The loan is initially until the 13th November but can be extended if the deal suits all parties. As James position is a specialist position there is a 24 hour recall inserted in the deal so DEs is already looking at possible replacements in case the Rams recall James.
On behalf of the Club I would like to wish him every success in his spell at The Lamb.
