Wednesday March 29th, 7.45pm kick off!
As mentioned both in the press and via club media, we are proud to be hosting a fixture between a National League North select XI and a British Army XI on Wednesday March 29th, kicking off at 7.45pm. Admission will be just £5 for adults, while seniors and U16's are free.
The event is part of three simultaneous games being played by National League players, with the other two being hosted at Harrogate Town and Eastbourne Borough respectively. James Belshaw, Reece Styche, and Luke Jones have all been selected as part of the National League North squad, while Andy Morrell will be manager for the night.
The aims of the fixtures are as follows:
* Strengthen existing ties between TheNational League and The British Army at a recognised sporting event, along with support from our title sponsor - Vanarama and main affiliate event partner S&C Slatter.
* Enhance the community relationships between local member clubs and armed forces units in and around the locations selected for these matches, which has benefits for all concerned, including but not limited to the new venue facilities on offer at the staging clubs.
* Enable the British Army to field three representative teams to play against a consistent level of opposition.
* To demonstrate to the wider public the good name of The National League and promote our own pool of talented players from North and South divisions.
All support on Wednesday night would be much appreciated!
