Activity Update

Thursday Jun 9, 2016

An update on some recent non first team events!

Although the first team players have been enjoying a well deserved break from football, the staff have been busy at work with other areas of the club.

June 1st saw our Academy teams take on AFC Rushden and Diamonds at U9 to U15. Landau Forte QEMS played host for all seven fixtures, and we thank them for their hospitality.
June 2nd and 3rd saw the much anticipated return of our half term 'fun days' in partnership with Tamworth in the Community. Many local youngsters traveled to Shuttington to enjoy the days with FA Qualified Coaches. These events are set to be hosted at The Lamb in future, so please email to express your interest in the summer events.

June 4th then saw our latest trial for last seasons double winning U21 side. Players from a range of professional teams showed up to try and impress the coaching staff, and earn themselves a place in the squad for next season.

Tomorrow night (June 10th) will see the next in our series of trial fixtures for our new 16-19 full time football and education programme. A very small amount of spaces are still available on this, with further information available from

Our U8 side will then play their final game of the season on Saturday June 18th, before the first team report back for their first session on Saturday June 25th.

A busy summer for all at The Lamb!!
