BetVictor Southern Premier Central Preview for Game Week 6

Friday Aug 30, 2019

Following a busy Bank Holiday Weekend where most teams played two games, it is a full programme of matches in The Betvictor Southern Premier Central Division this weekend.

With all teams having no midweek games and time to recover from the hot temperatures and double headers last weekend, it should make for an intriguing schedule. Fans can benefit from great offers on Mobilebet with a free bet and welcome bonuses. With eleven matches there is plenty to bet on.

Tamworth make the 90 mile trip down the M1 to Hitchin on Saturday in their next Southern League Central Division game.
Following a disappointing result against Hednesford at home on Bank Holiday Monday, the team will try to bounce back and keep their undefeated away form going this season. A last minute winner at Leiston last Saturday and a draw at St. Ives on the opening day have given four points from a possible six away from home. This leaves Tamworth in 10th place overall in the league after 5 games.

Hitchin, on the other hand have only played four games this season so far, and have only managed one draw along with three defeats. They have lost both of their two home games this season, both 2-1 to Rushall and Stourbridge and this leaves them next to bottom of the league (at this early stage) on one point with only Leiston below them on goal difference.

Last season The Lambs comfortably beat Hitchin 2-0 at The CR MOT Centre Community Stadium but found themselves on the wrong end of a 1-0 scoreline when they travelled to Top Field back in March.

Elsewhere in the BetVictor Southern Premier Central Division, surprising leaders Rushall Olympic travel to high flying Royston, who sit in 5th place and a playoff spot. Rushall will find this a difficult trip but will hope to maintain their great start to the season.

Second place Rushden & Diamonds also have an away tie, at Redditch. Redditch will be hoping to continue there good form, two wins in three days, and win again at home to boost them up the table into the playoff places.

Tamworth’s victors from Bank Holiday Monday return home to face Needham Market. Hednesford have only lost one game this season and won all the other four matches including their last three on the trot. They have a maximum six points at home so far and would love to keep that perfect home record going this Saturday. Needham Market have yet to gain a point away from home this season in their two matches but will hope to build on their 3-0 home victory over Leiston last time out.

This will be all of the teams last chance to grab points during a busy August, as the league takes a weekend off at the start of September to concentrate on The FA Cup. All teams at this level open their ‘road to Wembley’ journeys and can dream of progressing in the greatest cup competition in the world.
