5 former Tamworth players competing in the Football League

 Tamworth Football Club have had a number of greats pull on the shirt since founding in 1933.

 The famous red shirt has seen some top-class players stop off at the club prior to moving onto the higher levels of football. These former Tamworth players are now competing in the English and Scottish Football Leagues and showing off everything they learned with the Lambs.

 Kaiyne Woolery – Swindon Town

 Kaiyne Woolery suited up for Tamworth during the 2013-14 season. The striker bagged two goals in 18 matches during his time at The Lamb Ground. After leaving Tamworth, Woolery moved to Bolton Wanderers, Notts County, Wigan Athletic, and currently to Swindon Town. The 24-year-old has appeared in 20 games so far scoring once and adding four assists. His play has helped Swindon Town to the top of the table.

 Danny Lloyd – Salford City

 Winger Danny Lloyd appeared in 15 matches for the Lambs during the 2013 season. He bagged two goals during his short stint with the club. After making his mark at Tamworth, Lloyd moved onto Flyde, Stockport County, Peterborough United, and Salford City. The pacy forward joined Salford City in the summer of 2018 and helped the Ammies win promotion to League Two for the first time ever. 

 Ben Richards-Everton – Bradford City

 The former Carlise United youth team player signed on with Tamworth in 2013 and featured in 37 matches during the season for the Lambs. The big centre-back was an automatic selection that season. His performances earned him a contract with Patrick Thistle in Scotland. After spells with Airdrieonians, Dunfermline Athletic, and Accrington Stanley, Richards-Everton signed for Bradford City in the summer of 2019. The defender has appeared in 15 matches scoring one goal as of this writing.

 Kane Hemmings – Dundee 

 Striker Kane Hemmings plays in the Football League north of the Scottish-English border. The former Lamb plies his trade with Dundee after enjoying stints at Oxford United, Mansfield, and Notts County. Hemmings is in his second stint at Dundee were he previously scored 21 goals in 37 appearances. Hemmings played in the Tamworth youth academy before being snapped up by Rangers. 

 Kayden Jackson – Ipswich Town

 After breaking through the Bradford City youth academy, striker Kayden Jackson joined up with Swindon Town before spending loan spells with Swindon Submarine and Oxford City. Jackson joined Tamworth in 2014 scoring eight times in 36 matches. His eight goals made him the joint-top scorer at Tamworth that season. Jackson then joined Wrexham, Barnsley, Grimsby Town, and Accrington Stanley before signing with Ipswich Town in the summer of 2018. Jackson has been in excellent form for Ipswich Town this season scoring seven goals and adding six assists in 19 appearances. Jackson’s goals have Ipswich Town contending for automatic promotion in League One this season.
