'I'm proud of my players' - Mills

Tuesday Oct 6, 2009

Next up is the visit of Histon, their first to The Lamb, on Saturday, kick off 3pm in another Blue Square Premier fixture.

Despite Tamworth falling to their first home defeat of the season against York City on Tuesday night, it was another game where Gary Mills and the superb crowd saw a fine performance from The Lambs. Tamworth took the lead, then fought back from 3-1 down only to be denied a couple of penalty claims while City hit the woodwork on three occasions in an end to end encounter.

Chris Smith and Neil MacKenzie will sit out on Saturday through injury alongside Dominic Langdon, while Simon Russell returns after being unavailable to play against his own club (York) on Tuesday night.
