Three second half goals give Lambs first friendly win

FT: Heather St.Johns 0    3 Tamworth

12 July 2014Lamb boss Dale Belford fielded a 'vitrual unknown' starting XI at St. Johns Park fr the first pre-season game and although there were couple of faces that the majority of the 168 fans could recognise, in Belshaw and Hildreth, the side that played a blend of passing football on the ground were unable to get the ball past the home keeper although they did strike the bar late in the first half.

HT: Heather St.Johns 0    0 Tamworth

10 minutes after the restart The Lambs took the lead when a thumping strike from '6' was pushed onto the bar and '10' headed it home diagonally from the left of the area.
Shortly after the hour Belford made wholesale changes bringing the majority of the first team squad into play, while replacing Belshaw with Smith in goal.
The Lambs extended their lead on 74 through a right footed shot from '18' in the right of the area and when Reece handballed in the area on 75 Hibbert stepped up only to see his penalty saved.
But the same player made amends by heading home bravely at the far post on 77 to make it 3-0.
