19 December 2006 PLEASE SEE SEPARATE NEWS ITEM FOR INFO ON HALF PRICE ADMISSION TO THE REARRANGED FIXTURE (DATE TBC)
Both sets of managers made two changes to the sides that drew 0-0 at Moss Lane on Saturday and lined up looking to progress to the next round of the FA Trophy at a fog bound Lamb.
Despite the conditions that hampered view from the touchlines the players didn’t seem to be having too much trouble but it took until the 16th minute for Rod Thornley to have the first shot which whistled across the face of across Jose Veiga’s goal. Altrincham then took the lead in the 17th minute via Colin Little who smashed home Lewis Chalmers centre from the left byline (0-1) And it was 2-0 to the visitors in the 41st minute when Rod Thornley forced home a corner from close range.
But The Lambs got one back via an Adie Smith header in first half stoppage time after the ball fell invitingly to him in the box. (1-2)
The match was then abandoned due to fog.
