Lambs build up continues with another victory
18 July 2006 Tamworth defeated Stratford by three clear goals in a tighter display at Masons Road on Tuesday night.
Goals came from Williams (36) - finishing a John McGrath cross; a Graham Ward free kick on 50; Williams completed his brace well on 59 slotting home a Lee Moore cross from the by-line and on 61 Moore completed the scoring for The Lambs, latching onto and finishing a set-up from Williams after Kyle Storer's through ball. With former Lamb Ian Mitchell playing 90 minutes, as well as being Stratford's Assistant Manager, the home side had taken the lead in the first half but ultimately found Mark Cooper's men too strong.
