FT: Atherstone Town 0    1 Tamworth

16 July 2005

Former Redditch man Simon Hollis struck a 4th minute left foot volley past home keeper Richard Williams to give Tamworth the lead and in the end victory in the Lambs first preseason friendly of the 2005-6 campaign.

Tamworth started the first half with a virtual 'best XI' lining up as follows

Alex Barcherini (GK - from Nott'm Forest), Jimmy Tucker, Dave Bampton, Adie Smith, Matt Redmile, Aaron Brown, Simon Hollis, Graham Ward, Hugh McAuley, Tris Whitman, Bob Taylor

In the second half all players were changed at some point with Liam Richardson (GK - ex Derby), Carl Heggs, Kostuin Vatily, Kyle Storer, Richard Munday, Jay Birch, John Paul McGuirk, Miock Houghton, R. Sanghid and Nathan Jackson all making appearances.

The Adders best chance came in the second half through a Roy Dunckley effort that was well saved by Richardson.
