Tamworth fell to their biggest defeat of the season at the hands of 5th placed AFC Telford United and although Gary Mills' Lambs reduced the three nil defecit with 25 to go, the home side restored their numerical advantage at the death.
The first goal came after just three minutes when Jon Adams robbed the Tamworth defence of the ball about 25 yards out and calmly slotted home into the corner from the edge of the area.
It was 0-2 on 26 when former Lamb Lee Moore beat Des Lyttle, playing as centre back, for pace and cut the ball back into the path of Matty Lewis who fired purposefully home from 10 yards.
On 63 Lewis converted a Telford corner with a powerful header at the near post, but substitute Matt Williams reduced the arrears after intelligent play from the impressive Jonti Richter released him on the edge of Ryan Young's area to put the ball past him and into the net.
Richter, Williams and fellow substitutes Marcus Ebdon and Jake Sheridan went close to pulling another goal back minutes later but Ebdon fired wide before United sub Michael Husbands forced the loose ball home in stoppage time at the end of the second half from a miscleared corner.
