Taylor's 28th minute shot from the right came back off the home upright and he then looped a header wide but that was the best that The Lamb could muster.
Barwell failed to extend their lead on 39 when Haig went one on one with the keeper but somehow fired wide of the mark.

Tamworth started the second half brightly and Davies shot was parried away on 48.
Seven minutes later trialist Maslen-Jones headed home a looped ball from the left following a corner.
Morley attempted a long range drive on 56 and forced keeper Smith-Varnam to tip it onto the bar.
From the resultant flag kick Verma headed wide of the far post.
Jezeph was called into action on 63 and after a flurry of substitutions Baldwin nipped through and slotted home to give the home side the plaudits at the final whistle.
